Telefilm ‘Baba’ to be aired on Father’s Day

World Desk : Noted actor-director Syed Hasan Imam, veteran actress Laila Hasan, popular actor Shahed Sharif Khan, Lux star Nazia Haque Orsha and child artiste Srija have acted together in a Father’s Day-special telefilm ‘Baba’. The telefilm is written by Rana Zakaria, while the main theme, script and the direction have been done by Khalid Hossain Shamrat.

DhakaLive has news Shamrat wanted his father, the legendary late actor Razzak to portray the central role of the telefilm along with  noted actors Nazmul Huda Bachchu and Siraj Haider. However, due to the unfortunate demise of all three artistes, the production of the telefilm was stopped for a while.

Even, in his lifetime when actor Razzak was sick, he suggested that his role can be portrayed by Syed Hasan Imam. As a result, director Shamrat completed the telefilm ‘Baba’ once again with new casts along with Syed Hasan Imam.

Syed Hasan Imam shared his experience, “In order to fulfil his father’s (Razzak) dream, Shamrat has used his intellect and worked hard to make this telefilm with immense care. I am pleased to work under his direction. The heart touching story of ‘Baba’ will be surely appreciated by the audiences.”

Shamrat said, “Syed Hasan Imam is a legendary artiste. A high-profile artiste like him has helped us so profoundly which cannot be even described in words. In order to play the character Baba, he moulded himself. I am astounded by his performance.” The telefilm ‘Baba’ will be aired on Channel i on the Father’s Day on June 17.
